Back by popular demand, PyCon UK is the place for UK Pythonistas to meet, preach and learn. We've had comments like:
The last PyCon UK gave me the motivation to find a new job and start enjoying programming again.
So I am very much looking forward to the next one.
PyCon UK 2012 will be held at the Coventry TechnoCentre, which worked well for us last year, and we have
four themes:
- Python in Education, with some of our Pythonistas involved in education, and PyCon UK 2011 most probably being the place where you first saw a Raspberry Pi, this will be useful and interesting.
- Best Development Practice - Employing development methodologies, standards and tools reduce the probability of introducing errors into your applications and help prevent bugs from recurring. Collaboration tools allow efficient work using local and distributed teams
- Python in International Development, especially concerning Evidence for Development, a charitable project to monitor the effect of aid. We will be working on the code base, mainly making it PEP8 compliant and making it a strong foundation for future developemnt.
- Rich Apps, see how your fellow-Pythonistas are tackling today's demand for ever-richer apps
